My Old Lady is having a baby!

I just overheard this exact phrase while walking back to my wife's labor & delivery room... crazy life in Lynchburg.
It's been a wild day. Sarah's contractions started at midnight. We suffered through them (Sarah dusted/ironed/cleaned & watched We went to the hospital and were told that Sarah was not in active labor yet. We then went to her doctor's office to find out that Sarah was in active labor and should go back to the hosptial after walking for an hour.
We went back to the hospital after Sarah took a walk with Lauren and Andrea. We waited for almost 2 hours to get into a triage room. During this time, Sarah was in agonizing hard labor in a sitting room with no one from the hospital even checking on her. It was maddening.
Sarah suffered through 18 hours of natural labor and 4+ of hard labor before she received an epidural. The business of the hospital made the epidural wait over 2 hours.
Currently Sarah is napping and waiting to do the final pushes... We are so excited. I'm in awe of the strength that God gives women to endue childbirth. I've never seen someone I love so dearly in so much agony...
